Green Cup contest reduces energy use
Students living in residence halls on the South 40 and fraternities are turning off lights and printing fewer pages to win the Green Cup. The Green Cup contest, which kicked off March 28 and ends April 22, recognizes the residential college and fraternity that reduces its energy use by the highest percentage and performs other tasks centering on sustainability. - Softball sweeps doubleheader from Blackburn. The softball team picked up a doubleheader sweep (16-2, 10-5) over Blackburn College March 23. The Bears recorded 34 hits in the two-game sweep and hit .540 as a team. WUSTL (16-5-1) returns to action Friday and Saturday, April 1 and 2, at the Hy-Vee Classic in Grinnell, Iowa, to take on Simpson College at 11 a.m. and No. 10 Central College at 1 p.m. April 1, followed by a 10 a.m. doubleheader with host Grinnell College April 2.
